DBSS 7th Annual Sunshine Tournament

In association with the Forever Strong Foundation, DBSS will run a yearly 7V7 summer soccer tournament to honor Tyler Smith, tragically lost on February 20th, 2016. This celebration of life and celebration of soccer is an opportunity for the soccer community to come together in a warm and friendly environment to promote the enjoyment of the game. Proceeds from this event will go to the following non-profit organizations: Forever Strong Foundation and DBSS Cares.

U15 – Adult: Sunday, August 13th

Format (for all age groups)

7v7

50 minute games (running clock)

No Offsides

Subs on the fly

3 games – all on one day

Cost

U8 – $199
U9-U14 – $399
U15- Adult – $499

Notes

We are using ages for 2023-24 soccer year (i.e. 2015 = U9)
Players can play up 1-2 years but it’s not encouraged
Players can’t play for more than one team
Teams can be made up of different clubs/rec players
You may use a mix of spring 2023 player cards and birth certificates for proof of age
The intent of this friendly tournament is for players to get some extra touches on the ball in and to promote a love of the game

Items for Onsite Check-in (30 min prior to your first game)

Physical Activity Release of Liability Form (for each player)
Medical Treatment Authorization Form (for each player)
Proof of age for each player: can be in the form of spring 2023 player cards, a team roster from spring 2023, or copies of birth certificates. It is completely fine to have a mix of types of proof of age documents.
